New Spring 2016 Tea!
We just received our newest batch of fantastic Formosa Tea, and we have a couple of wonderful surprises in store for you...
Gui Fei Cha - This is a very special tea, for which what was once considered a pest, turned out to be a blessing. It's a "bug-bitten" tea with a naturally honey-like aroma. The intoxicating honey fragrance comes from organically grown tea with tiny green-leaf-hopping insects that "suck the phloem juices of the tea stems, leaves, and buds, which leads to the tea plant's production of monoterpene diol and hotrienol that give the tea its unique flavour". (Thank you Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dongfang_Meiren). These teas are very delicately made to retain the amazing flavour and aroma that these bugs create. They also have an interesting name referring to the beautiful consorts of ancient emperors in China.
It is honestly the nicest tea I've ever tried!
We also have another convenient option for those who want good tea on the go - Huan Ying Cha (convenient tea bags of delicious Formosa Tea that are far better than what you'll find in the local supermarket). Whilst we'd prefer the more purest form of tea, we've been drinking a lot of this stuff recently. It's super fast and simple. Nothing wrong with the old teabag, especially if they are truly good quality.
Our supplies are limited, so if you want to get a taste of the latest season's goodness, then you need to be fast!
